Oklahomans To Watch For In The NFR in Vegas

7th Round National Finals Rodeo results for local Oklahomans are in.

 

 

Pawhuska’s Wenda Johnson finished the 7th round with a 1st-place ride. The champion barrel racer put in a time of 13.60 seconds earning her $28,914. That puts Johnson solidly in 1st place in the average and moved her up to 3rd in the world standings moving over $206,000.

 

Rookie racer Leslie Smalygo from Skiatook came in 2nd yesterday with a time of 13.64 seconds netting her $22,851. The effort moved Smalygo up to 10th in the average and up to 13th in the world with over $129,000 in earnings this year.

 

Pawhuska’s native cowboy, Tyler Milligan placed 11th in the Tie Down Roping Event with a time of 20.2 seconds. Milligan moves up to 9th in the average and remains in 12th place in the World Standings.

 

Tanner Brenner from Ramona placed 4th last night in the steer wrestling. He earned $9,793. Brenner is still in 7th place in the average going into the 8th round tonight. He moved up to 11th in the World Standings with over $130,000 earned.

 

The NFR will continue tonight with the 8th of 10 rounds culminating this weekend.
