The Kansas Highway Patrol asks are you concerned about an older loved one’s ability to drive? As part of Older Driver Safety Awareness Week, the KHP reminds you that simply getting older doesn’t mean it’s time to hang up their keys, but you should evaluate and know the warning signs.

If you or your loved one has unexplained damage to the vehicle, if they frequently fail to use the turn signal or forget to turn it off, or if they miss highway exits, and get lost more often, then these small warning signs should not be ignored and may result in the difficult discussion about handing over the keys.
