Oklahoma and Kansas Rank High As Scariest Places In US

 

As Halloween nears, findings from a study asking the question, where are the ghostliest places in the US, shows Oklahoma and Kansas with more encounters with ghosts than most states.

According to the website Porch, Oklahoma ranks 3rd in the nation having over 48 ghost encounters per 100,000 residents. Kansas ranks 10th with 32 ghost encounters per 100,000 residents. Both States had military bases with a high number of sightings. Fort Sill, Oklahoma ranked behind only Fort Knox in Kentucky, with 35 for Fort Sill and an amazing 90 per 100,000 in Fort Knox. Kansas’ Fort Riley comes in 5th with 23. Generally ghosts like smaller towns, avoiding big cities and crowds.

The study says that the bedroom is the most popular room in the home and women and girls out number their male counterparts in seeing ghosts and women and girls are the most popular gender of ghosts being seen. So when you see something out of the corner of your eye… you might just be adding to the statistics.
