There are high fire danger concerns in the area for the rest of this week. Kansas Forest Service Meteorologist Chip Redmond says the current mix of weather conditions is even more concerning during this time of year.

Redmond says despite the rain earlier this week there are still some really dry conditions. He says to expect extreme fire behavior where those conditions line up with the weather.
