Audit numbers released recently show that the state of Kansas paid millions of dollars in fraudulent unemployment claims between March 2020 and 2022.

 

State Representative Doug Blex was a recent guest on the KGGF morning show and says much of the money went overseas.

 

Blex blames the security of the state's computer system and says the problem was largely solved after two-factor authentication was implemented.

 

There is no guarantee that the state will be able to recover the estimated 466 million dollars in taxpayer money.
