Lucy, the longtime mascot for Romans Motors in Independence has passed away.  Lucy has been featured in advertising and was known for greeting customers for years.

 

Lucy Romans crossed the rainbow bridge on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones –She was 12 years. . She was the best girl.

 

Lucy enjoyed rides to Romans Motor Co. and Romans Outdoor Power. She loved all the attention she was showered with by staff and customers alike. She was the face of Romans and appeared on many billboards and ads. Her reputation preceded her. One could say she was a bit of an icon in Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma.

 

To know Lucy was to love her.. She loved snacks, car rides, long naps and belly scratches, but most of all she loved her family fiercely as they did her.

 

Lucy will be forever missed and forever remembered. . She will be carried in the hearts of many who were privileged to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to AWOL or your local animal shelter in Lucy’s name – and also give your pups some extra love.
