A Parsons man is arrested for incident exposure and fighting with officers.

Parsons Police Officers were dispatched to a residence for a report of a man standing on the residence's porch and taking off his clothes. Upon arrival, officers found a now completely naked male who was acting delusional and combative. The man was identified as Roy Cruz Jr. Officers attempted to arrest Cruz for indecent exposure but he was kicking, thrashing about and fighting the two officers. Cruz rolled over a 5-quart jug of motor oil that was on the porch covering himself in it. Cruz was tased after being warned by the officers to stop fighting them but it only had a limited effect on him.

Cruz was placed in custody. While being checked by EMS, Cruz began kicking and thrashing about again kicking one of the officers in the knee, injuring the officer. Cruz is currently being held for indecent exposure and battery on a law enforcement officer. Cruz has a long criminal history including arrests for burglaries, warrants, probation violations, drug charges and traffic offenses. Parsons PD has come into contact with or arrested Cruz 19 times since 2012.
