For the 25th month in a row, Kansas tax revenue at the state level has exceeded projections.
That's according to Kansas District 11 Representative Jim Kelly who was a recent guest on the KGGF morning show.
Kelly explains the reason for this increase is partly because of inflation.
Kelly says the extra money coming in can fund a variety of programs.
While taxes revenue is up, Kelly says a bill passed recently will reduce sales tax by 2.5 percent over three years until grocery items will no longer be taxed in Kansas.
