Galena Police and Cherokee County Sheriff's Officer respond to a possible shooting.

Saturday afternoon at around 4:30pm, Officers responded to a report in the Foxfire addition of Galena.  A resident of the duplex had discharged a firearm in her apartment. The bullet traveled through the wall and struck a resident in another apartment in the forehead. The resident was taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released with minor injuries. During their investigation, officers located drugs and drug paraphernalia. Officers received a search warrant for the apartment and continued their investigation, in which they located additional weapons, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

40-year-old Morgan Farren and 40-year-old Thomas Farren were taken into custody and transported to the Cherokee County Jail. Multiple firearm and drug-related charges have been submitted for both and added charges of aggravated battery and discharge of a firearm for Morgan.
