USD 445 to Decide How to Spend Final Round of Federal COVID Money

The Coffeyville USD 445 Board of Education will meet tonight to decide how to spend the federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund money.

Superintendent Dr. Craig Correll stopped by the KGGF studios to explain how the fund works.

Correll says the money has to be spent on certain items.

In addition to the ESSER III funding decisions, the board will hear a report from Griffin Walker with the Boys and Girls Club and will assess students' needs going forward, especially those related to the learning loss during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 12th at 5 p.m. at the USD 445 Education Center.
