On Labor Day, Monday, September 5th, at about 10:20 am, an officer with the Independence
Police Department took a report from the V.F.W. at 113 E. Myrtle Street.
According to the complaint, apparently, someone stole the American Flags from the 1500 block of W. Main Street. The flags were on the Overpass. If anyone witnessed anything or if you have video surveillance footage that might be helpful please contact IPD. You can remain anonymous.
