A body is found after a fire is put out in Labette County.

This weekend Labette County Deputies responded to a 911 call about a structure fire in Mound Valley. Upon the deputy's arrival, Mound Valley Rural Fire personnel and the Altamont Rural Fire Department were in the process of extinguishing the fire. Once the fire was put out, firefighters discovered a body in one of the residence's bedrooms.

The body was identified as 55-year-old Michael Frost, who was transported to Frontier Forensics for autopsy. At this time the origin & cause of the fire is being investigated by the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office.
