Yesterday, an officer with the Independence Police Department responded to a tip in reference to a minor in possession of tobacco and marijuana. In the 1300 block of N. 10th Street, after an investigation, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested for alleged possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and tobacco by a minor. Both parties were processed through juvenile intake and were released to their guardians.
