3.2 Million In Grants To Rural First Responders For Opioid Crisis

 

To help combat opioid abuse, the federal government has awarded $3.2 million in grants that will go to rural first responders and members of other key community sectors at the state tribal, and local levels. The grant is intended to fund training in administering approved medication for the emergency reversal of opioid overdose.

First Responder Comprehensive Addiction & Recovery Act grants will be administered by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services. First responder agencies will need to apply by September 15.
