While working for the Hutchinson police department, an officer is suspected of committing a rash of sexual assaults between 2012 and 2018.
51-year-old Todd Allen was charged with 24 counts, including 17 felonies. According to the Associated Press, the charges include rape, kidnapping, and aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Police Chief Jeff Hooper said Allen became a suspect after he was questioned about a series of “window peeping” calls. The assaults stopped in 2018 when Allen resigned from the force.
It is unclear if Allen was in uniform when the sexual assaults happened.
