Attorney General Office Rejects Some Proposed Sports Gambling Regulations

 

In an effort to get legalized sports gambling launched in Kansas, the Attorney General’s office approved three regulations proposed by the Kansas Lottery, however, there were several that were sent back for review.

The Kansas Lottery has been tasked with oversight of sports gambling in Kansas.  The AG office said some “shortcomings” needed to be corrected. The problems generally encompass definitions, marketing agreements, and advertising rules. Friday, officials with the Lottery, said they are confident the changes can be made in time for the planned September 1 debut.
