24 Hour Plays At ICC's William Inge Theatre

If you take 50 high school students from 6 different schools, mix them together and within 24 hours, have them produce, in front of a live audience, five brand new 10-minute plays, you will have a truly interesting, educating, and no doubt entertaining event.

The Independence Community College Fine Arts will host a free performance of the 24-Hour Plays on August 27th at 7 pm in the historic William Inge Theater.

Students arrive on the evening of the 26 for check-in; five writers will stay overnight in the William Inge Center working on their plays. The next day the remainder of the students join in for rehearsal, costume, and set design.

Director of Theater Performance at ICC, Paul Molnar feels it is truly an exceptional experience. It allows students concretely to engage creatively with peers from around the region while being mentored by professional writers and ICC theatre students. The event is free and open to the public.
