New Esports Director At ICC Was One Of The Top 1% Esports Competitors In The US

The new Director and Head coach of the Esports program at Independence Community College competed semiprofessionally and ranked in the top 1% of participants in elite team Esports competitions across various paid leagues and tournaments. Kealan McCutcheon joins the ICC family from Hills, Michigan.

The Esports Arena at ICC houses 21 gaming stations for students, three public flat screens for gaming, and a driving/flight simulator. Students are free to compete, live stream/broadcast tournaments and handle motion graphics. ICC offers specific classes that allow graduates to continue their degree at a four-year college.

The 2021-2022 Esports Team brought home a National Title from the NACE Starleague Grand Finals. McCutcheon plans to continue the success in 2022-2023.
