If you want to be a part of the biggest garage sale of the year then you will want to be on the map and all participants are required to have a permit. The annual Kan-Okla 100-mile Garage Sale is planned for September 9th and 10th.
To register you need to go to the Chamber of Commerce in the city in which you live. For folks in Independence that location is at 616 N Penn. The CofC is at 807 Walnut in Coffeyville.
Permits must be purchased by all persons selling items in the event before September 2nd that's if you want to be sure to be on the map handed out to all shoppers.
The cost of the permit is $5 and covers your city permit if you live in Coffeyville. For those living in Independence, the permits are free at the Chamber Office.
