Bids are being sought by the City of Independence for the installation of networking security and video security infrastructure. The vendor will provide a proposal to offer a complete network cabling solution and security system that covers all steps from the initial site survey to equipment acquisition and complete installation, including cabling. The project includes installation of CAT6 data drops, fiber installation, door access drops, and hardware; security system installation includes motion detection, video with audio, panic alarms, and wireless access points.
Locations include 900 W. Myrtle – New Fire – EMS station, 225 E. Main – Police evidence storage, and 120 N 6th – Renovation of City Hall. Bids will be accepted until midnight, September 8th.
