The 40^th Anniversary of the William Inge Theatre Festival on the campus of Independence Community College will feature the local playwright’s Tony-nominated play, THE DARK AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS. Every 10 years the Theatre Festival chooses to honor its namesake, one of America’s greatest playwrights, William Inge.

THE DARK AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS ran on Broadway from December 1957 to January 1959 and was on the big screen in 1960.

Independence Community College’s Director of Theatre Performance, Paul Molnar will direct the legendary play and will be bringing in a couple of guest actors who will be working alongside the theatre students to bring the story to life.

The Festival is scheduled for April 20^th-22^nd, 2023.
