The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners met with Rick Whitson and gave him permission to purchase a used ATV for use by the county. The Board also agreed to pursue businesses that were lent money thru grants obtained by the Montgomery County Action Council. They left it up to the council which attorney they used. Most of the rest of the meeting was spent on Broadband Internet for the entire county. However, the discussion was put on hold by Chairperson Robert Bever, so as to find out what portion of the cost will be shared by the city of Independence.

Chairperson Bever also wanted a breakdown on how much it would cost rural citizens, Cherryvale, Caney and all other cities planning to get fiber optic.
