Arrest Made In Connection to Neosho County Homicide

A Topeka woman was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in Neosho County. Earlier in the week, 41-year-old Nicole Fox was arrested near Iowa St. and 2600 Rd., in Allen County. The arrest is in connection with the homicide that occurred in Chanute in the early morning hours on July 25, in which 34-year-old Blake A Pearson was shot and killed in an alley, east of the 1700 block of S. Highland. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation arrested Fox without incident and was booked into Neosho County Jail.

The KBI, with assistance from the Chanute Police Department, the Neosho County Sheriff’s Office, the Kansas Highway Patrol, and the US Marshal Fox also charged Fox with a separate, unrelated incident, which occurred in Chanute on July 6.

The case will be prosecuted by the Neosho County Attorney. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released at this time.
