The Cherryvale Public Library hosts its annual Block Party on Friday, August 12th. The celebration will be held from 4 to 7 pm on East Main Street in front of the library.
Information tables for assistance with local health care, banking, school, access to family services, free back-to-school hair cuts, outdoor games and activities including the Kansas National Guard Rock Climbing wall and the Kansas Highway Patrol will be in attendance with their seatbelt convincer. You can listen to the live music DJ, watch the water bucket race with the local Fire Department, get in on the water balloon games and enter the street chalk drawing contest. If you’re hungry then the Library Walking Taco Stand will be ready to serve you. There will be something for everyone.
