An Elk City woman is killed in a one-vehicle rollover accident on County Road 5600, also known as Sweeney Hill Drive and Chism Lane, Northwest of Independence.

Yesterday evening, 40-year-old Amber Beckenholdt's 2003 Audi A4 left the road and rolled over in the ditch just before 7:00pm. When officers with the Kansas Highway Patrol arrived at the scene Beckenholdt had already passed away from injuries sustained in the wreck.

Montgomery County Sheriff Ron Wade says she was not wearing a seat belt and that the investigation is still ongoing.
