Montgomery County’s County Attorney will be interviewing for the State’s Court of Appeals.  Lisa Montgomery will be interviewing in Lawrence next Tuesday as one of 11 applicants to fill an upcoming vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Anthony Powell.

Montgomery will interview before a nominating committee appointed by Governor Laura Kelly.  The nominating committee will submit 3 of the applicants to the Governor from which she will make the appointment subject to Senate confirmation.
