A Chanute man was arrested on an outstanding warrant Sunday. The Chanute Police Department made contact with a person in the 1500 block of S. Highland Ave.

In speaking with the subject it was determined that 31-year-old Derek Liby was wanted for an outstanding warrant. Chanute PD arrested Liby for alleged possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and an outstanding warrant.

The case will be forwarded to Neosho County Attorney’s Office for review and determination of charges to be filed.
