The annual water line flushing in Coffeyville is scheduled to begin Friday.  City crews will be opening hydrants around town beginning this Friday and are expected to continue for four to five weeks.  The project may cause water to appear to taste and smell unpleasant at times but it will continue to meet KDHE requirements.  

The project is recommended by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to maintain the quality of water in the city.
