Parsons Police Offices respond to the report of a stabbing.
At around 4:26am this morning, officers were called to the 100 block of South 31st. The suspect had fled the scene but was identified by his parents as 21-year-old Ethan Edward Allen Thompson. The family told officers that Thompson suffers from a mental illness and had not been taking his medication. The victim was transported by EMS to Labette Health.
Thompson was located by a Labette County Sheriff's deputy near 14th and Morton and was taken into custody. Parsons PD is requesting charges of domestic battery and attempted second-degree murder.
