The former television host of “Dirty Jobs” will be coming to Dewey.  Mike Rowe is coming to the area to film a mini-series that will feature parts of the City of Dewey and Prairie Song. The mini-series is based on his new podcast titled “The Way I Heard It" and it features true stories of historical events around the nation. 

One segment will be shot at the Dewey Hotel and the other at Prairie Song. The Dewey Hotel episode will concentrate on a story about Abraham Lincoln while the Prairie Song episode will be about Annie Oakley and Frank Butler. The episodes will be shown in the third season of Rowe's podcast at a later date. Rowe's first podcast aired in May of this year.  Rowe will partner with Tulsa-based Impact Productions to complete the filming.
