Join In A Blast From The Past At The Chautauqua County Fair

Put down your cell phone and have some good ol’ fashioned fun, because you’re invited to a blast from the past. The Chautauqua County 4-H Fair and Rodeo will kick off today.

Starting at 8 is the swine, sheep, and goat weigh-in. The beef weigh-in is at 10. Check-in your 4-H exhibits at noon and judging will begin at 1. The kids Barnyard Olympics will be held in the 4-H arena at 4. At 6 the Farmer’s Market will be on the midway or swim at the 4-H cookout at the city pool. The frozen t-shirt contest is on the midway at 6:15. Fair Prayer and Worship will be at the Pavilion at 6:30. Those 10 and under can participate in the 1K Taco Run at 7:30 and the 5K run for all others starts at 8:15, but you will need to register at 6 for those events.

There will also be face painting, plenty of vendors, and that unforgettable fair food from the local churches and organizations - all this just on the first day.

KGGF will have Thursday, Friday, and Saturday’s schedule of events later this morning, which will include a live remote hosted by yours truly. (Brian Kline)
