Two complaints about slow or inadequate service at the tag office were heard by Montgomery County Commissioners at Monday's meeting. The complaints, one by e-mail, the other in person, were addressed by County Treasurer, Nancy Clubine, who assured Commissioners the Independence tag office was now fully -staffed and operational including the ability to process title work and MSO's. She added that after an extensive yearly audit of each title clerk's work, two of the four clerks in the department received perfect scores, while one scored 95% and a fourth scored 93%. The state audits every county's offices yearly without their knowledge and then reports its findings to the County Treasurer.
