This week South Kansas Oklahoma Railroad (SKOL) will be working in Independence laying new rail. On July 12^th & 13^th, SKOL will be putting in new, bigger, wider rails to allow for heavier and faster lines. You will want to try to avoid crossings from N. 8^th over to W. Railroad and 21^st Street. If these crossings are unavoidable, then you will need to prepare for delays.
