GOP Gubernatorial front-runner collects 2 more endorsements. Yesterday Kansas Farm Bureau endorsed current Attorney General Derek Schmidt for Governor. Then today the National Rifle Association and its state affiliate the Kansas State Rifle Association have also endorsed Derek Schmidt.

This is the 3rd major endorsement in the span of a week. Yesterday marks the second time Schmidt has secured the backing of a leading Kansas trade organization that either supported Laura Kelly or remained neutral in the 2018 governor’s race. KFB did not make a general election endorsement in the race for governor. Last week the Kansas Fraternal Order of Police-State Lodge endorsed Schmidt, in 2018 they gave Kelly the nod.
