Parsons Lake is currently under an algae bloom warning. Everyone is being advised to stay clear of the algae bloom. This includes no swimming and the beach is also closed. Fishing is still allowed but any fish that are kept need to be washed thoroughly and only fillets can be used. Boating away from the algae is not an issue. The main concern is for children or pets that come into contact with it.
