The next step in the USDAs’ Mutual Self-Help Housing Program in Coffeyville will be considered by City Commissioners when they meet in regular session tonight.  The self-help housing program has a goal to build 20 new affordable homes in Coffeyville over the next two years.  Tonight Commissioners will consider purchasing property for 5 of the homes on Morgan.  They will also consider surveying of those properties.

In additional business Commissioners will consider resolutions to enter into an agreement for electrical engineering services for the North Industrial Park Station which supplies electricity for several businesses in the Industrial Park and a resolution to transfer ownership of the baseball and softball fields at Walter Johnson Park to Coffeyville Community College.

And in a lengthy agenda the Commission will consider ordinances to update residency requirements for city employees and the establishment of a noise ordinance.

Commissioners will meet at 6:30 this evening at City Hall.
