Attorney General and GOP hopeful for Governor Derek Schmidt, picks up another endorsement on Saturday. The Kansas State Lodge-Fraternal Order of Police made the announcement at the Kansas FOP Annual Conference in Overland Park, which was attended by Schmidt.

According to a press release, Kansas FOP President Casey Slaughter presented the endorsement after Schmidt addressed the conference attendees. The Kansas FOP is made up of more than 3,100 sworn law enforcement officers from federal, state, county, and municipal agencies throughout Kansas and joins the National Latino Peace Officers Association and National Border Patrol Council as Law enforcement organizations endorsing Schmidt for Governor. Schmidt also has been endorsed by more than two dozen current and former Kansas sheriffs.
