The reconstruction work on Main Street in Independence is nearing completion.  Public Works and Utilities Director, John Garris says work should be completed next month.  Garris says workers did a good job and the work should be complete by mid July.

Work on the $1.7 million dollar project began in February and is a streetscape project that includes new sidewalks and buried infrastructure.
