Bill is signed into law allowing Sporting events, casinos, restaurants, nonprofit fraternal or veterans organizations and other entertainment venues to bet on sports. Governor Laura Kelly signed Senate Bill 84, which legalizes the act of sports wagering in Kansas.
The Bill also allows the negotiation of new or existing gaming compacts regarding sports wagering by preserving tribal sovereignty for the Native American Casinos. Proponents of the bill say it will keep Kansans’ money in Kansas.
