The Chautauqua County Commission discussed two topics related to financial concerns at Monday's regular meeting.

Greg Hennen from Four County Mental Health gave the commission his 2023 budget presentation, requesting $40,000 for next year. In Chautauqua County, 257 citizens sought out services in 2021, down slightly from the previous year. Hennen anticipates that number to go up in 2022 and beyond due to an increased physical presence in the county.

In other business, Richard Hambleton provided a maintainance update and an updated bid for work relating to the courthouse elevator. The commission also met with Linda McNown of the Health Department, albeit behind closed doors in executive session.
