An Independence man who was wanted for attempted murder after a hit and run is in custody.
 

Independence Police Chief Jerry Harrison says 39-year-old Brian Medsker is in custody after a brief pursuit. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and Kansas Highway Patrol assisted in his capture.
 

Medsker was involved in the alleged incident on June 2nd when according to witnesses he intentionally hit a man on a bicycle. Medsker fled the scene and law enforcement had been attempting to locate him. More information to come on Monday.
