Two Separate Arrests Were Made Recently In Independence For Domestic Battery.
On June 7th, at approximately 10:46 pm. Officers were dispatched to 600 block of N. Hickory in regards to domestic abuse. After an investigation Independence Police arrested 41-year-old James Towers of Bartlesville, Ok for domestic battery.
Then on June 8th, at 11 pm, officers responded to a call of a disturbance in the 300 block of S. 9th Street. After an investigation, 29-year-old Laura Cranor was placed under arrest and processed on a charge of domestic battery.
