Overnight storms caused power outages across the area, mostly south of the state line in northeast Oklahoma.  Winds of up to 60 mph in Oklahoma left about 4,000 residences without power overnight while just a handful of outages were reported by Evergy in southeast Kansas in Montgomery County and the Fort Scott area where winds were not as strong.  Crews are till working this morning to restore power to some of the affected customers.

Additional thunderstorms are expected again overnight tonight and the early morning hours tomorrow.
