The producer of the former Chautauqua Hills Blues Festival has filed to run for an open Kansas house seat. Democrat Greg Wilkinson, who is running for the House District 11 seat, says he's running because he feels like there is just one party in charge.

Wilkinson says he is a supporter of funding education and improving infrastructure and wants to see the end of the battle over the education budget. Wilkinson is running for the seat that will be left open when current Representative Jim Kelly retires at the end of his term. Coffeyville's Ron Bryce has also filed to run as a Republican for the open seat.
