The Visual Arts Department at Independence Community College welcomed art submissions from high school seniors, incoming college students and current college students. The submissions are for a Juried Art Exhibition that will be on display in the ICC Fine Arts Building until April 29th. A reception and awards ceremony was held at the end of last week in the Black Box Theatre.
Students had the opportunity to win scholarships for the upcoming academic year. Daisy Blackmore finished first and will receive a $2,0000 scholarship, Lillian Sears gets a $1,000 scholarship for 2nd and finishing third and receiving a $500 scholarship is Dontae Coleman.
