An escaped sheep is located and caught by Caney Police officers.

Yesterday, Caney PD received a call from an individual regarding a sheep loose in the city. Officers responded and were able to locate the wooly suspect. The sheep was identified as Sam the Sheep, who had escaped from his pen. Sam the Sheep made a valiant effort to stay at large.

Caney PD called in an off-duty police officer to assist in catching the sheep. Officer Missy Simmons used her roping skills and was able to eventually catch the sheep. Caney PD says they will not be requesting any charges for Sam the Sheep, who was returned to his pen.
