Coffeyville police are searching for a person of interest in a shooting death that occurred around midnight Sunday.  Police are searching for 19-year-old Treyvin Hayes-Smith for questioning in the shooting that left a Chanute man dead. 

Police responded to the 200 block of North Walnut for a report of a shooting where they found a Chanute juvenile gunshot victim.  The victim was transported to Coffeyville Regional Medical Center by EMS and was later pronounced dead.  Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Coffeyville Police Department.  Those wishing to remain anonymous may provide information to the Crime Tip Hotline at 620-252-6133.
