A high-speed chase that reaches over 100mph ends in a foot chase in Montgomery County.

Earlier this week, a deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling in Independence, when he observed a Blue Ford Focus swerving from lane to lane. As the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, it sped off reaching over 100mph in a 40mph zone. The vehicle continued swerving in and out of traffic as it exited the city limits. The vehicle came to stop on County Road 4600 where the driver exited the car and the deputy pursued on foot.

The driver was identified as Cheyenne Dodge, who had an active arrest warrant out of Labette County. Dodge was transported to the Montgomery County Department of Corrections and was booked for fleeing law enforcement as well as numerous other traffic violations.
