Yet another phone scam is making the rounds in Montgomery County.

The scam involves the caller impersonating an officer with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, saying that the receiver owes money and that deputies will arrest them if they do not pay.

The department's Facebook account took to social media to warn people of the scam, and remind people that the sheriff's office will never call and ask for money, or tell you that you owe. They'll also never call and tell you that a warrant will be placed on you if you do not pay. If you find yourself receiving a call like this, immediately hang up the phone.
