The Coffeyville Police Department has won a AAA Community Traffic Safety Award.

CPD was one of 35 law enforcement agencies in the state to win the award. Others in the area include Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Parsons Police Department and Pittsburg Police Department. The award is given out to law enforcement agencies who keep their communities safe through a variety of initiatives and programs. CPD was awarded with a gold level award.  Cherokee County, Parsons and Pittsburg were all awarded with the platinum level.
